Where players actually get stuck
Steam’s global achievement stats are a live difficulty curve nobody can fake. Right now only 52.4% of players have beaten Kasei, the Tyrant — and just 3.3% have cleared Boss Rush.

Boss guides
Kira, the Exile ✓ corroborated
Tyrant's Canyon · beaten by 84.7% of players
The first real boss. A fellow exile who tests everything the opening taught you: spacing, the three-hit combo punish, and your first Instinct Counter.
Axe ✓ corroborated
Tyrant's Canyon · beaten by 67.7% of players
A weapon-carrying mini-boss between Kira and the canyon Alpha. About one in five players who beat Kira stop before or at Axe — the first real difficulty step.
Kasei, the Tyrant ✓ corroborated
Tyrant's Canyon · beaten by 52.4% of players
The canyon Alpha and the famous early wall: barely half of all players get past him. Two phases — and the second one is faster, not slower.
Shield ✓ corroborated
beaten by 40.3% of players
A Stegosaurus that fights with a shield — and the worst pass-through rate in the game. Mechanically unlike every other boss: frontal attacks do nothing until you break his guard, and he can counter you at any time. Fair warning from the community: part of the drop-off here is players quitting the game, not just the fight.
Dosei, the Giant Claw ✓ corroborated
beaten by 25.8% of players
Confirmed by two independent 100%-completion players. A third player describes this giant bird as the hardest fight up to that point: a Malenia-style string in phase two that demands pixel-perfect parries — miss it and you lose on the spot.
Reaper & Shade ✓ corroborated
beaten by 22.6% of players
The late-game duo fight, and the one players argue about most: a Steam forum thread titled "Reaper and Shade fight needs work" sums up the mood. Beating them can grant their summon.
Red Ash ✓ corroborated
Red Ash's Swamp · beaten by 20.6% of players
The Alpha of the fourth region — the swamp carries his name. The achievement curve shows most players who reach the swamp do finish the fight; the wall is getting there.
Akai Tsuki ✓ corroborated
beaten by 13.1% of players
The secret boss — two independent 100%-completion players pin him to BREAK THE SPIRIT, CLAIM THE STEEL, and "claim the steel" matches the Akai Chainbound blade named in launch reviews. His second phase is the current "cannot beat" hot spot: players call it "way too fast" and say it barely leaves room to heal.
Maakyuurii, The Ice King (final boss) ✓ corroborated
beaten by 11.3% of players
The final boss has a name: Maakyuurii, The Ice King — a two-phase fight whose second form is Maakyuurii, The Flame Reborn. Three independent boss-recording channels (Ben-Gun’s hour-long all-bosses run, FuzionByte’s per-boss uploads, and DireMeek) all show the same name and the same phase order, so this is corroborated, not rumor. The kill achievement is "I AM the Meteor", its hidden text reads "Destroy the Meteor", destroying the meteor is the final phase, and beating him unlocks Boss Rush mode (official store page).
The achievement list shows more boss checkpoints we haven’t identified yet — they’re tracked openly on the bosses page instead of being invented.
