Every dinosaur actually in Dinoblade
You play a young Spinosaurus wielding the Colossal Great Sword — that’s straight from the official description ✓ Steam-verified. Everything else on this page is what full-game walkthroughs and credited player reports actually identify — not a species list generated from guesswork. Several overnight wikis publish pages for “Velociraptor” or “Styracosaurus” bosses that no player report we can find has ever mentioned; where a species below is unconfirmed, we say so instead.
Boss species
| Boss | Species, per player reports | |
|---|---|---|
| Shield | Stegosaurus, carrying a shield — attacks from the front do nothing | ✓ corroborated |
| Haku | Tarbosaurus with a spiked mallet in his mouth | community-reported |
| Tank | Ankylosaurus with a spiked hammer — rolls and spins his whole body | community-reported |
| Mokusei the Titan | Giant sauropod (“the Titan sauropod boss”) | ✓ corroborated |
| Stick | A spear-wielding Spinosaurus — same species as you | community-reported |
| Speed | A small T-Rex — one walkthrough calls him “the most adorable T-rex in the game, a small angry flame” | community-reported |
| Dosei the Giant Claw | Therizinosaurus with a scythe in his mouth — the “Giant Claw” title fits: Therizinosaurus had the longest claws of any known animal | ✓ corroborated |
| Horn | Lokiceratops (a real horned species named by paleontologists in 2024) — with a laser mechanic the real one presumably lacked | community-reported |
| Akai Tsuki | Species unreported — but one walkthrough gives his full title: “Akai Tsuki, The Blood Moon” (akai tsuki is Japanese for “red moon”) | unconfirmed |
| Kira, Axe, Kasei, Ketsuro, Red Ash, Reaper & Shade, the final boss | No species reported yet. (“Kasei the Tyrant” hints at a tyrannosaur, but a name hint is not a confirmation.) | unconfirmed |
Full list of all 16 fights with kill rates on the bosses page. Species reports come from the two full-playthrough Steam guides credited on our sources page; corroborated rows appear in both.
Wild & non-boss dinosaurs
| Carnotaurus | Scythe-wielding regular enemies met throughout the mid-game | community-reported |
| Parasaurolophus | Spear-thrusting regular enemies (“Parasaur”) | community-reported |
| Stegosaurus | Non-boss herds in Darkclaw’s Forest | community-reported |
| “The rex with a hammer” | A hammer-wielding rex enemy in the canyon — the landmark for the Ankylosaurus rescue below | community-reported |
| Europasaurus | A dead sauropod landmark near Akai Tsuki’s entrance — also marks the 6th sword location | community-reported |
| Six sauropods | The optional SILENCING THE EARTHQUAKES hunts — the achievement is official; their species-by-species identity isn’t reported | ✓ corroborated |
The Ankylosaurus you save: TINY TANK, located
The “Save the Anky” achievement (done by about 10% of players) finally has a corroborated location — two independent walkthroughs describe the same spot:
- In the canyon, past the first boss, jump down the waterfall.
- Take the left detour where the hammer-wielding rex patrols.
- You’ll find two carnivores attacking an Ankylosaurus. Kill only the two attackers — don’t hit the Anky. After a moment, the achievement fires.
- Killed the Anky by accident? Rest at a save stone to reset the area and try again.
✓ corroborated Two independent Steam walkthroughs agree on the location and the kill-only-the-attackers rule.
Know the species behind Kira, Axe, Kasei, Ketsuro, Red Ash, or the final boss? Report it — species identifications are credited, and two independent reports upgrade a row to corroborated.
