Sources & about
DinoParry exists because Dinoblade’s launch week produced a wave of “wiki” sites with fabricated content — invented weapon tier lists, bosses the game doesn’t have. Our rule is simple: nothing gets published unless we can point at where it came from, and the confidence badge on each fact tells you exactly that.
The badge system
- ✓ Steam-verified — straight from Steam: the official store page, the public achievement list, or the Steam Web API’s global achievement percentages.
- ✓ corroborated — at least two independent non-Steam sources agree (professional reviews, separate walkthroughs).
- community-reported — a single credited community source, linked where cited.
- unconfirmed — we don’t know yet. The row exists so you know the gap exists; it gets upgraded when verification lands, never before.
Current sources
- Official Dinoblade Steam store page — release facts, mechanics descriptions, Boss Rush unlock condition.
- Steam global achievement stats — all unlock percentages, refreshed via the official Steam Web API.
- Steam community guides — notably the Health Ore locations guide by Weis and the full walkthrough by DualShot66, credited where used.
- Steam discussions — community sentiment (e.g. the Reaper & Shade difficulty thread), never treated as fact without corroboration.
- AltChar’s launch review and Into Indie Games’ walkthrough hub — professional coverage used to corroborate region names, boss names, and mechanics.
What we deliberately don’t publish
No weapon stat tables, no frame data, no boss movesets beyond what sources support, no “complete” lists we haven’t completed. Every such gap is stated openly on the page where you’d expect the content — with an invitation to contribute what you’ve verified in-game. Contributor reports are credited by name and corrections ship same-day.
DinoParry is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Team Spino LLC or Boltray Games.
